Who we are

OES General Contracting Inc., 264-5148 Ladner Trunk Rd, Delta, BC V4K 5B6. This policy covers this website (oesgc.ca) and the enquiries we receive through it, by phone or by email.

What we collect

Only what you choose to give us. In the quote-request form or the quote assistant (the chat that opens from the quote buttons on any page, which asks the same questions) that is your name, phone number, the address or city, a description of the job and your answers to a few questions (type of property, type of work, how soon, rough budget and, for water damage, whether it is an insurance claim). Your email and best time to reach you are optional. If you phone or email us, we keep what you tell us about the job.

Why we collect it

To reply to your request, to give you a quote and, if you hire us, to carry out the work. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Who sees it

OES staff who handle enquiries. The form and the assistant are processed by our website host, Netlify, Inc., which stores each submission and emails it to OES. Netlify is based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada. Visit statistics (see below) go to Google, which also processes them in the United States.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and links are used, so the site can be improved. The analytics account is currently held by the company that built this site and is to be handed over to OES.It sets cookies and sends page, device and approximate-location information to Google, which processes it in the United States. Today, advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and the tag does not load if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also block it with a browser setting or extension, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We do not currently use advertising, remarketing or social media tracking cookies. OES may add measurement and advertising tools in future, such as Google Ads conversion tracking, remarketing audiences or a Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. Before any of them runs, this page will be updated to name it and say what it collects, and where the law or the tool requires it we will ask for your consent first, with a way to say no and to change your mind later. Any such advertising or remarketing tool will not set its cookies until you agree.

Your consent

By sending a quote request or contacting us you agree that we may use what you send to reply to you, quote the job and carry it out, as described above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@oesgc.ca, though we may then be unable to continue with your request. Visit statistics and any advertising or measurement tools are covered in the section above, and we will not use them in ways this page does not describe.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to answer you and to carry out any work that follows, and as long as the law requires us to keep project records.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email info@oesgc.ca or call (236) 427-8122.

As a British Columbia business, OES is subject to the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
